• The Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at checkout.
• Strive to pack at least five items per bag, ensuring contents are undamaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and collect shopping carts.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all store areas.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and assist with store layout and product location.
• Conduct price checks and reinforce safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and perform equipment inspections.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
