Responsibilities:
- Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
- Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assist in removing merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
- Offer help to customers with loading bags into their cars.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
- Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
- Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
- Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness of all areas.
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
- Understand store layout, locate products, and assist with price checks.
- Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment, answer questions about products, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
