Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
- Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
- Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
- Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
- Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain all areas inside and outside the store.
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products.
- Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Retail experience preferred but not required.
