Responsibilities include:
- Bagging groceries at checkout, ensuring at least five items per bag without damage.
- Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
- Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
- Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
- Informing customers of grocery specials and returning merchandise to shelves.
- Gathering and returning bascarts to designated areas.
- Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the store.
- Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
- Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
- Reinforcing safety programs by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs.
- Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
- Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Managing conflict in a non-confrontational manner.
- Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Following directions and seeking assistance when needed to resolve issues.
