• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks.
• Unload shopping carts for customers.
• Assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place at the front end.
• Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
• Maintain a neat and clean work station and surrounding areas.
• Assist in stocking milk and eggs.
• Help customers locate products.
• Avoid carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping and mopping store areas.
• Keep bathrooms tidy and clean.
• Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Return misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Use the intercom properly.
• Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
• Stock merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
