Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and assist in keeping them stocked.
• Unload shopping carts for customers and keep shopping carts in their proper place on the front end.
• Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station and surrounding areas.
• Assist in stocking milk and eggs, and help customers locate products.
• Refrain from engaging in conversations with colleagues while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness of all store areas, including bathrooms.
• Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Use the intercom properly.
• Understand shelf tags for assisting with price changes.
• Stock merchandise efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
