Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and assist in stocking milk and eggs.
• Unload shopping carts for customers and retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
• Assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place on the front end.
• Assist cashiers to check out customers efficiently.
• Keep the work station and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Assist customers in locating products.
• Avoid conversing with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping and mopping store areas, and keep bathrooms clean.
• Maintain litter-free parking lot and shopping cart areas.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Properly use the intercom system.
• Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
• Stock merchandise and perform other duties as assigned.
