Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in maintaining stock levels.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and keep them in their proper place on the front end.
5. Assist cashiers to check out customers efficiently.
6. Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station and surrounding areas.
8. Assist in stocking milk and eggs, and help customers locate products.
9. Avoid engaging in conversations with other associates while bagging orders to ensure efficiency.
10. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
11. Assist in sweeping, mopping, and cleaning all areas of the store, including bathrooms.
12. Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts free of litter.
13. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
14. Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
15. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
16. Use the intercom properly for communication.
17. Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
18. Stock merchandise appropriately.
19. Perform any other duties as assigned.
