Job summary

Meijer is seeking a cart attendant to help keep the shopping flow smooth by collecting carts and maintaining the store surroundings.

You’ll work with service desks, entrances, check lanes, and various departments to support a clean, organized shopping experience. The role emphasizes safety, guest interaction, and reliable teamwork within a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong listening and verbal communication for guest and team interactions.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting as needed.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
