Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across store departments, with a focus on delivering above-and-beyond customer service.

You will interact with customers and contribute to the overall store operations, including cart maintenance, trash collection, snow removal, and basic cleaning. This role emphasizes flexibility and hands-on participation in daily store activities.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with attention to detail.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist when handling products or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a cart attendant and transport shopping carts throughout/into the store.
• Assist with parking lot, lawn, and interior trash collection.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Process perishables and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Support service desks, entryways, check lanes, and parking areas.
• Collaborate with departments across store sections.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What You’ll be Doing

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
