Job summary

Oregon Judicial Department (OJD) in Hillsboro is seeking a Verification Specialist (Court Operations Associate) to support court operations and ensure accurate intake of filings. You will review applications, conduct financial interviews, determine eligibility for counsel, and coordinate with assigned attorneys.

You will also perform data entry, cash handling, and public counter duties, providing excellent service to diverse individuals under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience performing clerical tasks with deadlines in a busy environment.
• Experience handling customer service scenarios in public settings.
• Ability to process payments, issue receipts, and reconcile accounts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Check in individuals for court appearances and assist with paperwork.
• Review applications for accuracy and completeness; conduct financial interviews.
• Determine eligibility for court-appointed counsel and assign attorneys.
• Enter data, scan documents, and report check-in information to the court.
• Provide counter service and handle payments and deposits daily.
