Job summary

Centerra Group is seeking a Court Security Officer to provide protective services at federal court facilities under a US Marshals Service contract. The role operates under lead CSOs and district supervision with union status.

The CSO conducts patrols, monitors access control, responds to alarms, escorts court personnel, and maintains detailed incident logs. Candidates must meet minimum law enforcement experience and training requirements and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• 3+ years of verifiable civilian law enforcement experience or equivalent military service.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the District's entry and identification system.
• Test and report emergency equipment.
• Patrol court facilities and grounds.
• Man USMS authorized stationary posts.
• Provide surveillance on traffic entering the facility.
• May provide armed escort services for judges and staff.
• Provide security for off-site judicial functions.
• Direct traffic and monitor vehicles/pedestrians as needed.
• Attend to security in courtrooms and post orders compliance.
• Log and report incidents and maintain records.
