Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and three years of security or police experience.
• Must complete Court Security Officer Training Academy within 90 days and Firearms Academy within 180 days.
• No felonies in the last 10 years and no domestic violence misdemeanors in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Screen persons, baggage, and containers for security compliance.
• Operate X-ray devices and metal detectors at courthouse entrances.
• Patrol courthouses and grounds to ensure safety.
• Provide armed security presence and oversee entry screening procedures.
• Monitor surveillance, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond to incidents, document reports, and escort vendors as needed.
