Job summary

Qualifications

• CSR license issued by the Court Reporters’ Board of California and realtime skills.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License at the time of appointment.
• Knowledge of court reporting terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reports verbatim notes of all court proceedings; provides realtime transcription or reads back record of proceedings.
• Reads testimony aloud at the direction of the Court.
• Produces and certifies transcripts; archives court reports and transcripts; organizes the official record.
• Receives and processes transcript requests; estimates transcript costs.
• Researches terminology; maintains dictionaries; sets up reporting equipment.
• Archives notes on court electronic storage system.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
