The Oregon Judicial Department in Medford is hiring a Financial Services Clerk/Cashier (Court Operations Clerk). You will assist the public at the service counter, handle financial transactions, post funds to cases, balance the cash drawer, and schedule court appearances.

You will interview defendants for payment plans, determine eligibility for court-appointed attorneys, enter case information into the management system, verify documents, and support judges and staff in a fast-paced environment

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of responsible clerical experience in a moderately complex office or business setting.
• Experience handling cash or credit card transactions and generating receipts.
• Experience using a variety of software programs to manage data and complete work.
• Experience coordinating schedules and maintaining calendars.

Aufgaben

• Assist the public at the service counter with courtesy and accuracy.
• Process payments, post funds to cases, and balance the cash drawer.
• Enter new cases into the case management system and update customer information.
• Schedule court appearances and trials; prepare and certify copies as needed.
• Interview defendants for payment plans and assess eligibility for court-appointed attorneys.
