Job summary

Denver County Court is seeking qualified individuals to join the elite Denver County Court Marshal team. This in-person role requires readiness for recall during emergencies and inclement weather.

Marshals locate and apprehend fugitives, provide dignitary protection, and support other agencies as needed. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Two years of law enforcement experience required.
• Additional education may substitute for experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license at time of application.
• Colorado POST certification at time of application.
• Must maintain firearms qualification.
• Must maintain Taser certification.
• Must maintain arrest control certification.

Responsibilities

• Act as special police officer with specialized powers for Denver County Court.
• Conduct investigations on whereabouts and known associates of wanted persons.
• Create, coordinate and implement tactical plans for arrest attempts of wanted persons.
• Apprehend fugitives.
• Perform executive protection duties for Judicial Officers and other government officials.
• Aid Denver Police and other agencies when responding to emergencies and incidents.
