Job summary

The State of North Carolina Department of Adult Correction seeks a Judicial Services Coordinator (S) to manage intake for supervised and unsupervised probation cases, and to monitor deferred prosecution cases as needed.

Based in or near the courthouse, the role interacts with judges, attorneys, clerks, and law enforcement, performing data entry, case assignment, and coordination of interpreter and ADA support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, or related field.
• Two years of experience in the court system, paralegal work, or related field.
• Four years of experience in the court system, paralegal work, or related field if using GED.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing offenders and collecting information for intake.
• Entering data into the appropriate software system (OPUS/CSAS/ICOTS).
• Assigning offenders for supervision and monitoring compliance.
• Determining if interpreter services are required for the offender.
• Identifying ADA accommodations needs and arranging supports.
• Providing reporting instructions and processing intrastate transfers.
