Job summary

The New York State Unified Court System, Appellate Division, 1st Department, is recruiting for one position in the Court Clerk Series with titles Senior Appellate Court Clerk or Appellate Court Clerk. The assignment will be to the Opinion and Order Department.

Duties include drafting orders on motions, preparing motion lists for publication, and reviewing documents in the case management system to draft orders.

Qualifications

• Two years of service in any title in the Unified Court System; or A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word is required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work within expedited timeframes with attention to detail.

The position will be filled in one of the following titles and will be dependent on the qualifications and experience of the applicants selected: Senior Appellate Court Clerk or Appellate Court Clerk.
