TreeHoppers Aerial Adventure Park is seeking a Course Monitor & Safety Briefer to help guests enjoy an outdoor adventure while prioritizing safety. You will fit harnesses, conduct safety orientations, monitor guests across 10 courses, and assist climbers as needed in a family-friendly forest setting.

Ideal candidates are 18+, comfortable climbing, with strong communication and customer-service skills. Weekend, holiday, and some evening availability is required, with training provided to learn

Formación

• 18 years or older.
• Able to climb all courses.
• Clear, confident communication, especially when leading safety orientations.
• Strong attention to detail when fitting harnesses and checking equipment.
• Friendly, outgoing, and able to follow directions.
• Own reliable transportation.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Available for weekends and holidays (and some evenings for events).

Responsabilidades

• Fit each climber with a harness, safety lanyard, and gloves, and ensure snug, secure fit.
• Lead safety orientations teaching the continuous belay system and course rules.
• Inspect harnesses, lanyards, and safety gear; remove damaged equipment from service.
• Check climber age, weight, and supervision requirements per course.
• Recommend courses matching age and experience (start with yellow/green).
• Monitor climbers from ground paths and enforce rules (one person per element, max 3 on a platform, no phones).
• Assist climbers who get stuck or need help, following rescue procedures.
• Clear climbers from courses during severe weather (lightning, high winds).
• Report injuries, equipment problems, and safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.

Join TreeHoppers, the largest aerial adventure park in Central Florida, as a Course Monitor & Safety Briefer. You'll fit guests with their harnesses, lead the safety orientation that teaches them how to use our safety equipment, and watch over our 10 courses and more than 100 elements, ready to help any climber who needs it. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors in a beautiful Old Florida forest of live oaks, build valuable safety and guest-service skills, and help climbers of all ages, from first-timers to experts, have an unforgettable adventure.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit each climber with a harness, safety lanyard, and gloves, and check that every harness is snug and secure
• Lead safety orientations that teach climbers how to use our continuous belay system and follow the course rules
• Inspect harnesses, lanyards, and other safety equipment before each use, and remove damaged equipment from service
• Check that climbers meet the age, weight, and supervision requirements for each course
• Recommend courses that match each climber's age and experience, starting with a yellow or green course
• Monitor climbers from the ground paths and make sure they follow the course rules, such as one person per element, no more than 3 people on a platform, and no phones on the course
• Help climbers who get stuck or need assistance, including climbing up to reach them using our rescue procedures
• Clear climbers from the courses when severe weather, such as lightning or high winds, moves in
• Report injuries, equipment problems, and safety concerns to a supervisor immediately

Work Areas You May Be Assigned To

• Harness Fitting and Safety Orientation: Fit guests with their equipment and lead the safety briefing before every climb
• Course Monitoring: Watch over climbers from the ground paths and help anyone who needs assistance
• Little Lemur's Course: Help our youngest climbers, ages 1 to 6, and their families enjoy the kids' course
• Private Guide: Climb alongside guests who book a private guide

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Not afraid of heights and willing to climb all of our courses
• Confident, clear communication, including when leading safety orientations for groups and enforcing course rules
• Strong attention to detail when fitting harnesses and checking equipment
• Friendly, outgoing, and able to follow directions
• Own reliable transportation
• Able to pass a drug test
• Available for weekends and holidays, plus some evenings for Cosmic Night Climbs
• Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours on forest trails, lift up to 20 lbs, climb to heights of 30 feet or more in a harness, and work outdoors in heat, rain, and various weather conditions

Helpful but Not Required

• Experience at a ropes course, zip line park, climbing gym, or challenge course
• Training or certification from the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Customer service, camp counselor, or outdoor recreation experience
