Job Duties

1. Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
2. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
3. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Performs related customer service functions.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the service area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the station's service area is preferred. Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations and pass a medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type and have a good driving record. Ability to work alertly and safely in a constant state of alertness.
