Job Duties

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
2. Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
3. Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
4. Perform related customer service functions.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the service area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the station's service area is preferred.
• Skills in adaptability, dependability, and effective courier methods.

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical examination per FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record as per state requirements.
• Non-safety sensitive position; ability to work alertly and safely is essential.
