Purpose

Couriers provide an efficient pick-up and delivery service and support to customers, while complying with all operational, security, and safety policies and procedures with the objective of meeting service commitments and maximizing customer satisfaction. Couriers are a critical component of providing customer service throughout the organization. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for picking up and delivering items, including but not limited to: vaccines, mail, supplies, lab specimens and bank deposits, to and from assigned locations in a timely manner.


• Drives a defined pick-up and delivery route as scheduled and at the times specified on the Courier Schedule.


• Responsible for ensuring that vaccine and lab deliveries are kept in coolers at the proper temperature and must document delivery of vaccines.


• Responsible for ensuring bank deposits are signed for upon pick-up and delivered to bank in accordance with the companys policy and defined schedule. Follows bank protocol, which may include presenting drivers license for deposit.


• Obeys all traffic laws and follows safe traffic and transportation procedures.


• Maintains on-time delivery schedule while handling occasional STAT requests.


• Maintains professionalism in all interactions including in use of language, attire, and demeanor.


• Maintains cleanliness and order in work area.


• Maintains cleanliness in company vehicles.


• Handles routine maintenance of the organizations vehicles including oil changes, tire rotations, etc., per manufacturers specifications.


• Notifies supervisor of vehicle repair needs.


• Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.


• Regular and dependable attendance.
