Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a full-time driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages with courteous service. Duties include checking shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and providing related customer service functions.

Role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, 21+ years of age, and English reading/speaking ability to interact with traffic officials and customers. Week schedule Tue-Sat, with 7:00am–6:00pm, and is a non-safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and handle packages of any weight with equipment or assistance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.

Responsibilities

• Drive FedEx vehicles to deliver and pick up packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provide related customer service functions.
• Operate vehicles not regulated by FMCSA section 391.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
