Job summary

FedEx Corporation is seeking a full-time Driver/Operator in Lake Wales, FL to deliver and pick up packages with courtesy and efficiency. You will check shipments for service conformance and provide related customer service while operating non-regulated vehicles in compliance with FMCSA guidelines.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, an ability to lift 50 lbs, and at least 21 years old, with English reading/speaking proficiency for traffic signs and inquiries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
