Job summary

FedEx is seeking a part-time Driver/Operator in Miramar, FL to deliver and pick up packages with a customer-focused approach. The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to FMCSA/FAA safety guidelines. Shift is Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, able to read and understand English, and pass the required medical exam. This position is FXEA employee-only per policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
• Medical exam required under FMCSA/FAA rules; safety-sensitive position.
• Must be at least 21 years old; read/speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and directions.

• Driver/operator of FedEx company vehicles for delivery and pickup of packages.
• Provide courteous and efficient service; ensure shipments conform to FedEx service standards.
• Perform related customer service tasks and other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Monday - Friday 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM Ramp ID required within 90 days of hire.

This position is for FXEA Employees only. All other applicants will be rejected.

The desired location for this position would be Miramar, FL. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
