Job summary

Labcorp in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a Courier for 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm). Earn a 10% shift differential with a company vehicle provided for route use.

Load supplies, complete pickups, and deliver to the branch while safely handling specimens and complying with traffic laws. Prior Labcorp experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• No experience or education required.
• Preferred: Labcorp experience and 2+ years courier or route-based delivery experience in medical or lab settings.
• 1+ years handling medical specimens or supporting hospital/lab operations.
• 2+ years using handheld delivery-management devices or routing tools such as scanners or GPS routing software.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver daily picks to your branch at shift end.
• Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use handheld devices to manage daily pickups.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT

Work Schedule: 2nd shift; Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

additional 10% shift differential included for 2nd shift

Job Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups
• Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner.
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
• Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick‑ups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• No experience or education required

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or Prior Labcorp experience
• 2 or more years of professional courier or route‑based delivery experience within a medical or laboratory company.
• 1 or more years of experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital / laboratory operations
• 2 or more years of experience using handheld delivery‑management devices or route optimization tools, such as scanners, GPS‑based routing software, or dispatch applications

Additional Job Standards

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Punctual with strong time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Customer service experience
• Ability to problem solve customer issues
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $125 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
