Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to collect specimens from client locations at designated times.
  • Transport specimens safely using a company provided vehicle, accurately and in accordance with all company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Respond promptly to STAT specimen pickup requests and ensure timely delivery.
  • Complete supply deliveries and fulfill supply orders as assigned.
  • Accurately document pickups, deliveries, route activities, and client interactions on route sheets and other required records.
  • Maintain specimen integrity and confidentiality throughout the transportation process.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly while complying with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Ensure company vehicles are fueled, clean, organized, and maintained in good working condition.
  • Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients and their staff.
  • Provide courteous, responsive service and act as a professional representative of the organization.
  • Support a culture of exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with special projects and operational assignments as needed.
  • Assemble and deliver equipment
  • Provide general maintenance support in clinic locations
  • Support teamwork and collaboration across departments.

Specimen Courier

Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-F

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, service-oriented Specimen Courier to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position plays a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring the timely and secure pickup and transportation of specimens, medical supplies, and equipment to or from medical offices and client locations. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining efficiency, professionalism, and compliance with company procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Courier Operations
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to collect specimens from client locations at designated times.
  • Transport specimens safely using a company provided vehicle, accurately and in accordance with all company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Respond promptly to STAT specimen pickup requests and ensure timely delivery.

  • Sit, walk, and drive for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently enter and exit a vehicle while completing scheduled pickups and deliveries.
  • Bend, squat, reach, and climb on an occasional basis.
  • Use both hands for grasping, handling, and repetitive fine motor movements.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Perform job duties safely in various weather and environmental conditions.
