Job summary

Indiana University Health System seeks a Medical Courier to support the Bloomington, Indiana area from Monday to Friday, 11:45 AM to 7:45 PM. You will drive across the city and surrounding areas to pick up and deliver laboratory specimens, supplies, and other items to and from the Hospital.

You will verify request information for accuracy and proper packaging, assist with sorting client reports, and maintain a daily activity log recording trips, destinations, arrival/departure times, and

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record.
• Knowledge of Indiana traffic laws.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive throughout Bloomington area delivering lab specimens, supplies, and other items to and from the Hospital.
• Review specimen request information for accuracy and proper packaging.
• Assist with sorting client reports.
• Maintain a daily activity log with trips, destinations, arrival/departure times, and requests.

Medical Courier, in support of the Bloomington, Indiana area: M-F 1145-1945

Drives throughout the city and surrounding areas ensuring timely pickup and delivery of laboratory specimens, supplies and other items to and from the Hospital. Reviews the client's specimen request information for accuracy and proper packaging. Assists with sorting of client reports. Assists with sorting of deliveries according to specimen type and department required. Keeps a daily activity record indicating number of trips, destination, arrival/departure times and the number of requests.

• Requires HS grad or GED Equivalent.
• Requires a valid Indiana Operator's license and a good driving history.
• Requires understanding of the traffic laws of the state of Indiana.
• Requires ability to communicate effectively.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
