Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks full-time Flex Houseparents—two married individuals living on campus to care for a group of 8-13 students. They provide mentorship, supervise daily routines, administer medications, and drive students to activities, while guiding development and spiritual activities.

The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule, with a path to a placed houseparent. Benefits include health coverage, retirement, training, relocation aid, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role; married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; alcohol not permitted on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver license and eligibility to drive student vans.
• Must lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan engaging developmental events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
