Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, coordinating schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel,

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple required.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
