Job summary

Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples live in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision for 8–13 students in each home.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, budgeting, devotions, and transportation planning. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule, advancing to a placed Houseparent living with the same students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples; both spouses aged 27+.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Plan and participate in development and recreational activities with students.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
