Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents (a married couple) to live in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students. You will provide care, guidance, supervision, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

This two-person role requires a two-year marriage, ages 27+, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to drive student vans. Housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits accompany the salary.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pets allowed: fish and one approved dog.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
