Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks full-time Flex Houseparents, a unique two-person caregiver role for a group of 8–13 students. Couples reside in on-campus homes, supervise daily life, mentor students, and support academic, emotional, and social development.

Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, ages 27+, and hold a high school diploma or GED. The role includes housing, meals, insurance options, training, paid time off, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities, and planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
