Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, invites married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, caring for 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth.

Initially, roles cover various student homes with a nine-on / three-off schedule, eventually transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Smoker-free and weapon-free campus policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and supervise student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
