Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care and supervision for a group of 8–13 students, and help foster academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include supervising students daily, coordinating routines and activities, administering medications, and leading devotions. The role transitions to a placed houseparent with continued residence in the student home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support multiple homes with a nine-on/two-off (or nine-on/three-off) schedule; later transition to a placed houseparent role.
