Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role involves living in on-campus student homes, supervising about 8–13 students, and guiding their academic, emotional, and social development while fostering a family-like environment.

This two-person team follows a nine days on, three days off schedule, with a transition to a placed houseparent over time.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple required.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/rec activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendances.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
