Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus homes and guiding a group of 8–13 students. The role includes nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with duties spanning supervision, routines, and student wellbeing.

You will lead daily activities, coordinate transportation, and engage in activities that support students' academic, emotional, and social growth, including devotions and Sunday Chapel.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years; spouses aged 27+.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (no proselytizing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and monitoring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel activities.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
