Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students, creating a structured, family-like environment to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, guiding routines, supervising transportation, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, and managing budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children in the home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel attendance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in role-modeling

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and safeguarding student wellness
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational tasks
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
