Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in student homes, providing care and guidance to 8–13 students, following a nine-days-on, three-days-off rotation, with potential progression to a placed houseparent role living with the same group.

The role includes supervising daily life, coordinating routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, leading devotions, and managing

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities, and planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
