Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students living in the home.

Initially nine days on duty followed by three days off, with transition to a placed Houseparent role. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-year married couple minimum
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children in home
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog allowed
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans
• Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel attendance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff act as role models

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
