Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 1 for the Lycoming-Clinton MH/ID Unit in Williamsport. You will help individuals and families build a secure housing path and connect them with community resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 and 12 college credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology/gerontology/criminal justice; or
• Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology/gerontology/criminal justice; or
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 college credits in related social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Referral Coordination: gather information and meet with consumer and referral source.
• Needs Assessment: conduct initial assessments of housing and support needs.
• Support Planning: develop flexible housing plans addressing system navigation, emergency housing, rental assistance, etc.
• Team Collaboration: participate in case reviews and resolve issues through a team-based approach.
• Housing Support: provide guidance to case managers and ongoing support for transitions to independent living.
• Financial Education: offer budgeting and financial skills training to consumers.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology/social sciences

Two years of experience in County Social Services Aide role or paraprofessional case management
