Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 1 for the Lycoming-Clinton County MH/ID Unit to help individuals and families build stable housing and access resources. You'll engage with community partners to ensure housing success and provide financial education as part of ongoing support.

The role emphasizes a team-based approach, community impact, and direct client interaction in a non-telework full-time setting, with standard business hours and dedicated training opportunities.

Formación

• Two years of experience in County Social Services Aide 3 or equivalent.
• 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Educational requirements may be met within two months of graduation.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate referrals by gathering information and meeting with the consumer and referral source.
• Conduct initial assessments to understand housing and support needs.
• Develop flexible housing plans addressing system navigation, emergency housing, and rental assistance.
• Participate in case reviews and resolve issues through a team-based approach.
• Provide guidance to case managers and support consumers transitioning to independence.
• Offer budgeting and financial skills training to recipients of services.

Educación

Bachelor's degree with 12 sociology credits

Two years of college with 12 sociology credits

Equivalent combination with 12 sociology credits and 1 year paraprofessional experience
