About Roo and the role
Roo is building the modern labor marketplace and operating system for veterinary care. We help hospitals reliably access great veterinary professionals and help veterinary professionals find flexible, meaningful work.
Roo launched in the Greater Toronto Area in September 2026, our first market outside the US. Vancouver and Calgary follow in early 2027. We're looking for a Country Lead to run Roo Canada. You own the Canadian number and you sell against it yourself. You are accountable for one outcome: making Roo the way Canadian hospitals find locum veterinarians and technicians, and the way those professionals find work, in every market we open.
This is a player-coach role. In your first months you are Roo's main seller in Canada. As the business grows, you hire and lead the team that takes over that work. Roo's product, marketing, events and data teams serve every country, so much of your job is getting them to work on what Canada needs most.
We are a remote first company. This role requires being located in Canada.
Please see below for compensation ranges based on our geographical tiering system recommended by external benchmark data. Canadian candidates based outside Vancouver/Toronto may be offered a range adjusted for their location. This role is also eligible for variable compensation, with details shared during the interview process.
Tier 1 Pay Range (Vancouver)$184,000-$243,000 CAD
Tier 2 Pay Range (Toronto)$175,000-$230,000 CAD
