Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP in Texas seeks a US Country HR generalist to enable MADO transactions for U.S.-based employees and provide expert HR support across acquisitions, divestitures, outsourcing, and business transfers. You will partner with MADO program teams to translate objectives into HR actions and integrate Payroll, Total Rewards, and Employment Law across COEs.

Qualifications

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years related experience in human resources functional area, HR Generalist.
  • Previous experience within Employee Relations is preferred.
  • Previous experience with supporting M&A activity from an HR support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the U.S. Country HR generalist partner and business enabler for MADO-related workforce activities and transaction planning efforts.
  • Work closely with MADO Program teams to translate transaction objectives, timelines, and deal requirements into clear workforce considerations and HR actions.
  • Integrate the right HR stakeholders across Payroll, Total Rewards, Employment Law, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, and other COEs to ensure U.S.-specific workforce impacts are addressed.
  • Review workforce due diligence inputs through a U.S. Country HR lens, identifying employment considerations, employee experience impacts, compliance implications, and execution dependencies.
  • Coordinate Country HR inputs for transaction-related processes while partnering with COEs where specialized expertise or process ownership is required.
  • Maintain visibility across key deliverables, decisions, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues with context, recommendations, and practical mitigation options.
  • Support the creation, review, and coordination of offer letter templates and employee transition documentation when required for acquisition or integration activities.
  • Advise MADO Program teams on U.S. employment requirements, workforce-related compliance matters, and potential employee integration risks.

Job Description:

Provides a full range of HR support and program implementation activities across multiple businesses, functions, and geographies. Delivers programs and policies developed globally that are specialized for local or regional requirements. Acts as a consultant and partner in driving and implementing organizational design, transformation, change management, talent management, total rewards, workforce planning, and employee relations strategies and policies. Ensures HR programs are implemented based on business-specific priorities and legal requirements at the country level. Collaborates across the HR organization to deliver an integrated portfolio of services to all employees. Systematically deploys policies and structures established by HR functions while delivering differentiated solutions based on unique business needs, local market pressures, and the competitive landscape. Supports talent acquisition efforts of staffing and recruiting, and partners with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing (MADO) to ensure new employee integration success. Consults with managers and other stakeholders on employee relations issues. Interfaces with managers, employees, government agencies, and other external representatives in consultation and negotiations as necessary.

  • Identify ownership gaps, process dependencies, and workforce risks that may affect project execution, and recommend practical actions to support compliant and successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment so Country HR contributions, COE-owned activities, and MADO project requirements are clearly understood and connected.
  • Contributes to successful employee integrations, transfers, and separations while supporting business continuity, employee experience, and stakeholder alignment objectives.
Education and Experience Required:
  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years related experience in human resources functional area, HR Generalist.
  • Previous experience within Employee Relations is preferred.
  • Previous experience with supporting M&A activity from an HR support is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Superior knowledge of all human resources areas, with an expertise in limited functional areas.
  • Strong legal knowledge of the local environment.
  • Advanced business acumen.
  • Excellent communications skills, including influence and consulting.
  • Excellent program management skills, including implementation and feedback analysis; developed leadership skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into human resources initiatives.
  • Ability to manage change across a broad population.
Impact/Scope:

Enables MADO transactions involving U.S.-based employees and organizations by bringing Country HR generalist expertise, workforce perspective, and stakeholder integration to activities with potential compliance, employee experience, operational, or reputational impact. Serves as the U.S. Country HR advisor and integrator for workforce transition considerations associated with acquisitions, divestitures, outsourcing, and business transfers. Coordinates Country HR contributions when directly connected to a MADO transaction and partners with COEs on areas within their respective domains. Supports compliant and coordinated execution of employment, payroll, employee relations, leave, classification, and Total Rewards requirements during transaction activities. Contributes to successful employee integrations, transfers, and separations while supporting business continuity, employee experience, and stakeholder alignment objectives. Leads the HR program creation and delivery for complex business groups in terms of size, workforce complexity, and geographic distribution. Leads or contributes to regional or global priority projects.
