Job summary

Sandvik seeks a senior HR leader to drive the US country HR agenda and lead the US Country HR Services team. You will partner across a complex matrix, translate business needs into scalable HR solutions, and manage governance, budgets and stakeholder relationships.

You will shape the service portfolio, accelerate AI-enabled HR solutions, and ensure consistent employee experience across managers and teams in the US. Travel is required; based in Mebane, NC.

Qualifications

Reporting to the Global Head of Machining HR Services, you work across a complex matrix organization to align shared people priorities, strengthen governance and translate business needs into scalable solutions.Job responsibilitiesLead the Country HR Council and represent a consolidated HR perspective in the Country Coordination Council.Coordinate HR policies, employee relations, benefits and shared people matters across US legal entities.Develop the country HR Services team by setting clear expectations and building capability and accountability.Shape the service portfolio, capacity and service levels to meet business demand and deliver consistent experience for employees and managers.Accelerate digital transformation by scaling responsible AI-enabled and digital solutions across Workday, case management and service processes.Manage service governance, stakeholder relationships, budget, cost and productivity, using data and business insights to guide priorities and investment.Location and flexibilityThe position is ideally based in Mebane, North Carolina. Travel is required.Your profileYou bring extensive, progressive HR experience, commercial understanding and sound judgment. With a strategic outlook and a practical approach, you turn priorities into action and lead effectively across businesses, functions and stakeholder groups. You are strong in stakeholder management, skilled at creating alignment and able to move confidently between governance, collaboration and hands-on casework.Your background includesA university degree in Human Resources or a related field.Senior HR leadership experience with broad responsibility for people, organizations and HR services delivery.Substantial experience in country HR governance, employee relations, HR policies, benefits and HR services operations.A proven ability to lead senior cross-business councils, create alignment and influence stakeholders.Experience leading transformation, standardization and high-performing HR teams while applying HR platforms, AI, digital solutions and data.It’s a plus if you haveExperience managing HR service governance, budget and cost.Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions or business integration.A background in a multi-business, industrial or similarly complex environment.As a clear and inclusive leader, you build trust through open communication, accountability and integrity.
