Job summary

Watsco in Florida is seeking a Counter Sales Warehouse Associate to join a fast-paced HVAC distribution team. You will manage the sales counter, assist dealers and end users, and support daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, loading, and inventory control.

Your role requires that you deliver excellent customer service, upsell related items, and maintain accurate stock levels while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interact with internal and outside sales, vendors and contractors.
• Assist showroom merchandising and stock replenishment.
• Process sales orders and upsell items.
• Load/unload products daily.
• Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
• Verify items received against orders for accuracy.
• Pick and verify orders and prepare for shipment.
• Support inventory control and cycle counts.
• Ensure workspace is neat, safe and compliant with PPE.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with internal and outside sales people, vendors and contractors.
• Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
• Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
• Complete sales order process for customers with efforts to up-sell associated items.
• Daily loading and unloading of products.
• Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
• Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.
• Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment as needed.
• Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.
• Appropriate use and maintenance of OF device.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customer traffic.
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned

In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
• Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service.
• Ability to work independently but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
• Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house preferred.
• Bachelor’s or associate Degree preferred.
• 6 months Warehouse experience including forklift operation.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Work Schedule Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may

require working extra hours on occasion.
