Job summary

Tindell's, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused retail associate in East Tennessee to help customers select building products, provide quotes and complete sales. You will maintain displays, assist with inventory, and keep the shopping area clean while promoting satisfaction and repeat business.

The role starts at $18/hr with a base of $17/hr after training and includes commission on sales plus weekly pay, reflecting a strong focus on performance and team success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read orders, complete forms, and follow instructions.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of building materials and related products.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional service to customers by assisting with product selection, pricing, availability, quotes, estimates, sales orders, and related product recommendations.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, applications, and industry trends while promoting customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
• Process sales transactions, refunds, credits, and related documentation in accordance with Company procedures.
• Support inventory management and store operations by maintaining accurate records, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and ensuring assigned areas remain clean and organized.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to support store goals, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
