Job summary

Third Coast Distributing, operating as NAPA Auto Parts, is seeking a Counter Salesperson in South/Central Texas to deliver excellent customer experiences and build lasting customer relationships. This role reports to the Store Manager and requires a friendly, professional demeanor and strong product knowledge.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of retail experience, a HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift merchandise as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail environment.
• Prior automotive parts knowledge is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

About The Role:

OurCounter Salespeople are the key to our success, delivering excellent customerexperiences and developing long-standing relationships with our customers. Positionreports to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provideoutstanding customer experiences.
• Operating acash register and navigating computer and paper catalog systems.
• Effectivelycommunicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information tocustomers.
• Demonstrate apositive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearanceat all times.
• Use your partsknowledge to assist other NAPA team members answer questions forcustomers.
• Use computer, cashregister, telephone, and paper catalog system.
• Maintain current promotional material andin-store displays.
• Understand and comply with all Company policies.
• Protect self,co-workers, and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment.
• Ensure overall cleanliness of the front counter, salesfloor,and back areas.

About You:

The idealcandidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• A minimum of 1 year experience working in aretail environment, prior automotive background or knowledge is preferred.
• Knowledgeof cataloging and/or inventory management systems is a plus.
• High School diploma orequivalent.
• Must enjoy working with people in a fast-pacedand exciting environment.
• Scan, handle and move merchandise efficientlyand safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 60 pounds.
