Summary
The Counter Sales Representative provides immediate service and product knowledge to customers, assisting promptly and courteously with purchases and order processing. Works closely with the branch team on receiving, shipping, and stocking.

What You'll Do

• Provide excellent customer service and assist with purchases and orders
• Drive electrical distribution sales and develop customer relationships
• Restock, maintain the showroom, and keep the area organized
• Assist with warehouse functions like receiving, shipping, and deliveries
• Stay informed on product knowledge
• Assist inside sales as needed
• Report safety or customer satisfaction concerns to management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred
• Previous branch experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Electrical product knowledge (lighting, switchgear, controls, commodities) preferred
• Experience in electrical distribution or sales environments preferred
• Familiarity with automated order systems and Windows-based PCs preferred
• Strong negotiation, communication, organizational skills, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
The role involves exposure to noise, heat/cold, electrical hazards, and physical activity like lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, and standing for periods.
