Van Meter Inc. is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to service counter customers and pick orders efficiently. You will work independently to prepare, deliver, and coordinate orders while providing excellent customer service and upholding our culture and standards.

The role requires standing, lifting, and operating a forklift when needed. A High School diploma or GED is required, with a two-year degree preferred and prior sales experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve counter and walk-in customers with product information and project guidance.
• Pick and prepare customer pipe and wire accurately.
• Picks orders using RF gun, motorized cart, and forklift.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Provide product demonstrations to qualified customers on request.
• Maintain counter area, displays and stock levels orderly.
• Estimate delivery dates based on vendor production schedules.
• Quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales orders.
• Promote company culture and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with inside sales and distribution teams for service quality.
